Bio

Astrid Casimire is a communications specialist from Trinidad and Tobago who has been writing for over 20 years. She received a Bachelor's in Human Biology and a Master's in Communications from Stanford University. Her unique background in both science and communications allows her to communicate across genres, applying both an analytical mindset and a creative lens to her work. She has written for the Trinidad Express Newspaper, The Stanford Daily, Peninsula Press, Alpha Medical, Bay City News and its partner website LocalNewsMatters.org. She currently works at the Office of the Prime Minister - Communications. In her free time, she enjoys freelance writing, reading and music, especially the steelpan.
